On Christmas night, 1895, Lee Shelton murders William Lyons in St. Louis, Missouri, as appeared in the St. Louis Globe-Democrat. Over the years, this event will evolve into a popular song, recorded by many different musicians.

1895ko Eguberri-egunean St Louiseko Globe-Democrat egunkariak bezperan gertatutako hilketa baten berri ematen zuen. Denbora pasa ahala, ahoz-ahoko tradizioak ñabardura eta kutsu desberdinez jantziko ditu tartean ziren pertsonaiak. Stacker Lee, Stagolee, Stack-A-Lee edo Stack O'Lee pertsona bera dira, kontalariaren arabera gaizkiaren irudi edo egoeraren biktima. This is edge music, traveling through in-between roads that border, on the one hand, the unexplored, magical great continent and on the other hand the newly-born modern city. In its migration towards the streets that never sleep, this sound veils the artificial bright lights with ancient beliefs and superstition.

This project builds up a song collection, gathering different musicians from Euskal Herria. Blues and popular music is just a starting point, so they can relate these rich stories their own way.

Es música en el borde: en tensión entre el gran continente que continúa oscuro, peligroso y mágico, y el proyecto de ciudad que nunca duerme. El blues en su peregrinación del mundo rural al urbano contamina de sombras y superstición las calles que aspiran a ser gobernadas por la razón.

El presente proyecto reúne varios músicos de Euskal Herria que versionan y reinterpretan estas canciones, a medio camino entre la crónica y la leyenda.
